CSI Recruiting is working with a growth-oriented, publicly traded E&P company located in Denver on their need for a Reservoir Engineer Team Lead.  The ideal Reservoir Engineer Team Lead candidate would have a total career experience level in the 8-15 year career range.

For the Reservoir Engineer Team Lead role, our client is seeking an innovative and results-driven Reservoir Engineering professional specializing in the following:

  • Experience in running a multi-rig development program along with directing well spacing/completion optimization.
  • A development focused reservoir engineer who can implement and complete a project
  • Someone who can lead the conversation and is assertive
  • Emphasis on thorough planning in order to minimize last minute changes
  • Strong background with type curve generation is required
  • Experience with well level economics and decision/risk tree analysis is required
  • Strong reserves background who can coordinate with 3rd party auditors
  • Private company experience dealing with the SEC would be highly desired.
  • Conventional oil experience
  • A strong background in ARIES
  • Experience working with Private Equity would be highly desired

Client needs this person to employ sound decision-making methods to complex projects, including economic analysis.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mentor and help develop less experienced Reservoir Engineers by providing guidance

Demonstrate ability to solve complex problems.

Evaluate and monitor well performances

Generate production well forecasts

Work closely with other departments

Must have strong knowledge of economic evaluation and financial metrics.

Improve efficiency in data analysis

 

Experience/Qualifications:

Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree required – Petroleum Engineering is required

Well versed in economic modelling software (ARIES or similar)

Experience utilizing information from multiple public data sources

 

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of 8 years of working as a reservoir engineer or in a team leader/management role for an independent E&P company.

Candidates with currently small-company technical leadership and management experience would be preferred.
