E&P Sales Account Executive – Dallas, TX

CSI Recruiting is working with an E&P-focused software and technology company in need of an industry-experienced Account Executive.  The role will involve calling on existing accounts, growing those accounts in size and scope, while also focusing on account retention and relationship building.

You’ll have top-level technical support as you work with the client, selling from the top levels of management (C-level executives) down to the Engineering and Information Technology management personnel.

Performance Objectives

  • Execute annual sales goals and meet targets for E&P account growth in your base of accounts.
  • Develop influential relationships within active and growing E&P companies.
  • Team with the company’s internal technical professionals to effectively present value proposition to clients and capitalize on new sales opportunities.
  • Team with internal Account Managers to identify opportunities for increased growth within your account base.
  • Deliver client feedback to marketing and development teams to customize and develop new products and services.
  • Complete company certifications and training on a regular and as-needed basis.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, sales summit and client meetings with travel up to 25%.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Seeking Account Executive candidates that are self-starters and team players.  Developing meaningful relationships with decision makers will require strong interpersonal skills, consultative sales skills and an ability to understand the client’s business needs.
  • Must know outside sales and account management/retention with the ability to demonstrate expertise of an enterprise sales process (Discovery, value proposition, buying process, decision makers, risk mitigation, retention and closing).
  • Demonstrated experience generating new business and retaining clients on a monthly, quarterly and semi-annual basis.
  • Oil & Gas software or SaaS sales experience highly desired.
  • An established network of upstream oil & gas / E&P management contacts is preferred.
  • Seeking 5-10 years of oil & gas industry experience, preferably in a high tech, high energy environment.
