A&D Reservoir Manager / Vice President of Engineering – Dallas, TX
CSI Recruiting is working with a small, very well financed, private equity-backed E&P firm based in Dallas on their need for an experienced A&D-focused Reservoir Engineer to function as an A&D Reservoir Manager / Reservoir Engineering Manager. Title could be Vice President of Engineering depending on experience.
This role will report to the company’s CEO, will lead the A&D evaluations for the firm, and will have regular interaction and collaboration with the private equity firm backing the company. This is an ideal role for a business-minded Reservoir Engineer with a passion for deal-making and ability to work directly with the E&P investment community.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct operator and play-specific economic evaluations including reserve estimates and decline curve creation.
- Work closely with the company’s President, Reservoir Engineers, Reservoir Engineering Technicians and senior management on asset evaluations, acquisition recommendations and deal evaluation.
- Experience in one of the oil & gas industry asset evaluations software programs is essential – Aries, PHDwin, PEEP, ComboCurve.
- Manage deal flows with internal advisors and the private equity firm
Requirements:
- BS in Petroleum Engineering
- 2+ years at an energy investment bank or an A&D-centric firm in the E&P space
- 8+ years of overall Operator / A&D / Banking experience
- Deal-focused Reservoir Engineering experience and reserves experience.
- Track record of screening numerous A&D deals across the producing areas of the Lower 48.
- Experience in the minerals space is strongly preferred.
Work is on-site at company’s headquarters office in downtown Dallas.
