Early-Career Petroleum Engineer – Dallas, TX

CSI Recruiting is working with a growth-oriented oil & gas company in Dallas that is seeking to hire an early-career Petroleum Engineer, either a new graduate of a Bachelor of Science – Petroleum Engineering program, or someone that earned their BSPE and has 6-12 months of work experience.  This Petroleum Engineer new hire will participate in the company’s Engineer Development Program, which includes field engineering work, learning on the job as well as formal training, involvement in strategic decisions and extensive interface with both in-house and field personnel.

Primary Job Functions

Provide production and operations engineering support for domestic, onshore oil and gas development projects.  Work and live near the operations locations, be they in the Rockies, Mid-Continent, Texas or Louisiana.

  • Work with multi-discipline teams to support optimal asset development and well optimization effort
  • Planning, evaluation and/or execution of field development programs.  Work with field personnel, vendors and fellow engineers in a collaborative, safety-first operational environment.
  • Conducting production forecasts to support development / depletion planning and production optimization opportunities
  • Developing and/or leveraging new production optimization engineering technologies
  • Create and grow asset value via recompletions, artificial lift, facilities improvements, and new drills within conventional and unconventional assets.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required – preferably Petroleum (BSPE)
  • Petroleum Engineer internship experience is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results while working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, communication and leadership skills are essential
  • Be willing to work and live near to field operations locations during the Engineering Development program.
