E&P Lease Analyst – Denver, CO

CSI Recruiting is actively working with a growing upstream oil & gas company seeking to hire an experienced E&P Lease Analyst to provide support to the company’s operations and management team, with the primary goal of organizing and managing the company records associated with leases, contract agreements, drilling and division order title opinions and other land-related documents.


  • Analyze and interpret provisions of leases and contracts.
  • Analyze and determine ownership based on probate documents, assignments and transfers of interest
  • Create monthly rental calendars including rentals, shut-ins and obligations.
  • Create expiration reports, leasehold reports and Exhibits
  • Track and monitor all changes to Leasehold as it pertains to and affects company acreage and ownership
  • Review title documents to determine division of interest
  • Evaluate probate documents, assignments and other documents as they pertain to transfer of interest
  • Communicate effectively with the accounting department to ensure timely and effective updates of division of interest
  • Assist with updating, notifying and communicating effectively with Non-Operators regarding company interests

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

Must have experience working with Oil and Gas Leases, Title, Lease Purchase Reports, Surface Use Agreements, Right-of-Way and Easement Agreements, Farm-outs, Farm-ins, Joint Operating Agreements, Pooling and Unitization Agreements, Communitization Agreements, Salt Water Disposal Agreements, court house and abstract office records and all other land related documents.

  • Proven interpersonal, written and oral communication, organization, recordkeeping, analytical and problem solving skills are required.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of leases, contracts and division of interest
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible regarding workload and tasks
