CSI Recruiting is working with an independent E&P company involved in the development of oil & gas assets (oil, natural gas and NGL’s) within unconventional plays in Texas, supporting their need for an experienced Facilities Engineer.  Our client is very well funded, maintains a collaborative office environment and is in growth mode, with a focus on building their team with strong technical talent.

Position Summary

The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the design and construction of the Company’s production facilities and operations within their primary development regions. These facilities designs will take into consideration environmental compliance, production efficiency and equipment reuse. This role will provide ongoing facilities engineering support and evaluate methodologies, best practices, processes and technology to assess the benefits and impact to engineering facilities projects.

The Facilities Engineer will work closely with the company’s established Production, Reservoir/Planning, Well Delivery, Marketing, and HSE team to monitor progress, accomplish a timely and effective project execution, and deliver functional improvements. 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Perform Oil & Gas Facility Engineering

  • Responsible for large facility workovers, capital surface maintenance projects, and water system maintenance
  • Support base infrastructure planning (power, water, and midstream)
  • Support base 3rd party midstream operations & performance
  • Contribute to supply chain management
  • Lead root cause failure analysis on surface related failures
  • Mentor & engage with field teams
  • Review economics and design for risk reduce surface projects
  • Development surface engineering and planning
  • Ensure facilities are designed and constructed per applicable codes, regulations, and permitted requirements
  • Collaborate across well delivery, subsurface, production, and development teams
  • Create and maintain design documentation
  • Design and manage surface operations planning for new wells
  • Support subsurface operations planning for new wells
  • Support long term infrastructure planning (midstream, power, etc.)
  • Organization planning work
  • Provide recommendations to management on data structure, work flow, and process
  • Be willing to create processes that will facilitate field/operations/production planning
  • Create & implement cross- asset tools across the production footprints

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Licensure

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred, others will be considered)
  • Five to Ten years of experience in Oil & Gas Production Faculties Engineering roles
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE), American Petroleum Institute (API), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), or related certifications
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle
