Human Resources Manager – Dallas, TX

CSI Recruiting is working with a long-time Dallas-based Oil & Gas company in their search for an experienced Human Resources Manager, particularly seeking candidates with strong experience in benefits (401k plans, healthcare plans, employee wellness, plan management and audits, provider negotiation and selection).  Work within an open, professional office environment among engineers, accounting / finance personnel, attorneys and other professional Oil & Gas operations staff.

Key functions:

  • Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.
  • Manages talent acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Develops training and performance management program that ensures all employees are familiar with their job responsibilities, as well as relevant legal and safety requirements
  • Creates and updates compensation strategy through market analysis and pay surveys
  • Handles investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns and conflicts
  • Expedite delivery of benefits by establishing and maintaining working relationships with benefit providers.
  • Work with broker to analyze annual benefit renewals for best coverage and cost options, present to management and carry out and implement to employees.
  • Oversee reconciliation of benefits accounts and maintenance of recordkeeping system
  • Review and process 401(k) distribution requests and monitor contribution changes.
  • Monitor changes in and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements regarding existing and new legislation, while enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
  • Assist employees (active and terminated) with any questions regarding their employee benefits and company policy questions.
  • Work with auditors to ensure annual 401 (k) compliance for non-discrimination testing and annual audit.
  • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
  • Manage workers compensation: report monthly payroll, monitor policies, follow up on new and existing claims and work with broker on renewals.
  • Oversee annual ACA/1095 reporting and reconciliation of benefits accounts by approving billing statements.

Requirements:

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience, and have hands-on background in the following human resources manager functions:

  • Hiring (from Recruitment to Onboarding)
  • Human Resources Management
  • Performance Management
  • Communication Processes
  • Compensation and Wage Structure
  • Oil & Gas Industry Experience
  • Any International Experience is a Plus.
