Associate Reservoir Engineer – Denver, CO

Associate Reservoir Engineer – Denver, CO

CSI Recruiting is working with a Denver E&P company in the process of expanding their operation and reservoir engineer staff in the Rockies. By virtue of this increase in activity, the client is hiring an Associate Reservoir Engineer for their Denver office.

Our client’s company is in a strong position financially and is looking to expand via asset development, operational
efficiencies, and perform strategic asset acquisitions throughout the lower 48.

The role will focus on the company’s current asset base – unconventional and conventional Rockies assets.

REQUIREMENTS
Client is targeting a Reservoir Engineer at the 4 to 5-year experience level. The company desires that the candidate has recent Rockies experience but would be willing to look at the right engineer with other basins (Permian, Mid Continent, South Texas)

At this point, the company is only considering local Denver candidates.

This role specializes in conventional and unconventional oil and gas asset valuation and will need to have the experience to anticipate possible challenges for any given project.

It is expected for the Reservoir Engineer to use his/her experience and judgment to plan and accomplish the goals of the project and the company at large. Horizontal development program experience is highly desired. Exposure to corporate reserves is also desirable.

Must be proficient in Aries.

THE COMPANY
This is a fast-moving, entrepreneurial-minded environment so the ideal candidate would be a high-energy self-starter who does not require the support personnel and infrastructure of a large company.

Core Responsibilities:
Conduct operator and play-specific economic evaluations including reserve estimates and decline curve creation.
Experience in one of the oil & gas industry asset evaluations software programs is essential, ARIES preferred.
