CSI Recruiting is working with a Denver-based oil and gas company in their need for a Manager of Land Administration.  The ideal candidate would have current team leader or management experience on the land administration side in both large and small E&P companies.  Responsibilities will include directing and overseeing all land administration functions, contracts, division order analysts and will have 4 – 5 people reporting directly to them.  You will also be responsible for leading the team as well as mentoring younger lease and division order analysts.

Both Excalibur and Enertia experience is highly desired.

The following basin experience would be highly desired: Permian, Appalachia, Mid-Con

Other responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversee and approve lease, division order and contract maintenance
  • Lease set up, monthly rentals and obligations, lease expirations, lease status updates, division of interest, ownership changes, contract input
  • Provide quarterly acreage report and reconciliation to management
  • Work closely with accounting to ensure proper revenue distribution and billing • Review and provide accurate land maps and shapefiles as requested
  • Ensure the maintenance and organization of land filing system,
  • Communicate effectively with the BLM, ONRR, and other local government entities as required to perform tasks.
  • Provide ongoing communications to management regarding land activities.
  • Prepare and conduct annual reviews for direct reports Supervisor Duties
  • Direct efforts of the Lease Analysts, ArcGIS Specialist and Division Order Analysts

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience is required
  • Advanced knowledge of O&G leases, contracts, division order processes, title, and division of interest  Highly organized, resourceful and efficient self-starter with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, set priorities and interface with others.
  • 10+ years progressive experience in land administration management supporting a fast-paced, demanding office environment
