CSI Recruiting is staffing several professional-level oil & gas sales positions to work with an oil & gas services company as they pursue an expansion strategy, adding experienced external oil & gas sales professionals in multiple locations, including Midland, Dallas, Houston and Denver.

The Oil & Gas sales role will focus on selling to domestic upstream oil & gas companies, particularly to the company’s Geosciences departments.  Key contacts with Exploration Managers, Geoscience Managers, Geologists and Geophysicists will be highly helpful to this role, although prior experience selling to other technical departments in an upstream oil & gas company will be considered.

The sale will involve understanding the processes involved in exploration and production procedures, with a focus on the drilling and completions functions.

You’ll report to a Director of Sales, but work from a home office and be a self-starter in your territory.  You’ll have as much independence as your performance dictates.


5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas sales, focused on delivering services to upstream oil & gas companies

Strong preference for experience interfacing with geosciences professionals, including geologists, geophysicists, exploration managers and the like

Experience with start-to-finish sales cycle management, from lead to contact to close.  You will receive support as needed but the expectation is for a good deal of independent work.

A consultative sales approach.  Our client isn’t into pushy or slam-bam sales tactics.  These clients will be (hopefully) repeat customers for years to come, so you’ll be expected to create meaningful consultative relationships.


These roles will have a compensation structure that includes a base salary, robust commissions and excellent benefits.  First year compensation expectations will vary by your experience and already-established network, however $100k+ in year one is very attainable.
