Regulatory Analyst – Midland, TX

CSI Recruiting is working with a growing E&P firm focused on oil assets in the Permian Basin, locating them an experienced Regulatory Analyst for their Midland office.  The Regulatory Analyst will be expected to complete and file all required forms necessary for the regulation of drilling, producing & completing wells. The Regulatory Analyst also coordinates completion of various environmental and regulatory plans.
Detailed Functions
  • Prepares and submits required forms and permits for drilling, producing and completing wells in West Texas
  • Interfaces with Governmental agencies.
  • Provides research on regulatory issues.
  • Analyzes and communicates new and changed governmental regulations to interested parties.
  • Tracks environmental data covering drilling, well work and production activities.
  • Maintain internal tracking systems to identify upcoming regulatory requirements for continuing compliance with regulations
  • Monitor upcoming operations and required filing dates as well as prepare associated reports as requested
  • Maintain associated well records electronically and paper files
  • Establish and help foster positive relationships with city, state, county, and federal governmental regulatory personnel as required
  • Coordinates preparation of Spill Response plans, Spill reporting procedures and Emergency Evacuation plans.
Job Requirements
  • 4+ years of oil & gas regulatory analyst experience for operators working in Texas
  • Familiarity with TRCC procedures and government requirements for the submittal of regulatory permits.
  • Previous experience with TRCC regulations, procedures, reporting and compliance
  • Knowledge of oilfield equipment and terminology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
