CSI Recruiting is working with an Oklahoma City-based oil company in their need to hire an experienced Reservoir Engineering Manager.  Our client is a small, privately held E&P company, with plans to grow via drilling and development as well as acquisitions and joint ventures.

For our client, data and data analytics is deeply embedded in the company’s culture, as is a culture of debate and discourse.  Utilizing the latest in data analytics technology, the firm utilizes public and private data to improve asset identification, asset management and continuously evaluate risk.

As Reservoir Engineering Manager within the Engineering team, you will take an essential role in reservoir engineering and economic evaluations. This is a unique opportunity to expand industry knowledge by interactively working with the company’s other departments including geosciences, land, legal, finance and the executive team.

We’re looking for a talented Reservoir Engineering Manager with extensive experience in domestic, onshore oil and gas.  You’ll be a part of a growth-minded team and provided with the resources to succeed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering
  • 10 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, majority in reservoir engineering
  • Must know how to interpret Lease Operating Statements
  • Must be proficient in Aries and performing economic evaluations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Access and Excel
  • Must have experience with horizontal shale / unconventional / semi-conventional wells
  • Production / operations experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)

 Responsibilities

  • Oversee engineering staff and perform engineering / economic evaluations and studies
  • Perform and approve AFE evaluations
  • Perform A&D evaluations and identify opportunities for asset acquisition
  • Oversee 3rd party reserve reports and mid-year internal bank reserve reports
  • Maintain corporate database quality controls and data completeness
  • Interact with and provide engineering support to finance, geology, accounting and data science
