The Reservoir Engineering Technician will be heavily involved in assisting in acquisitions evaluations, field studies, and reservoir evaluations. You will work closely with the company’s Reservoir Engineers the Director of Reservoir Engineering on the execution of the company’s growth strategy. The assets involved are all domestic, on-shore oil & gas assets, with an emphasis on unconventional plays.

You’ll need to have the ability to review well files, gather downhole information, prepare regulatory filings and maintain the company’s databases. Reserves experience is a plus.

Using ARIES and the other skills mentioned, the reservoir engineering technician will provide comprehensive data analysis, mining, and management functions, create and deliver production and reserve forecasting (using decline curves or other methods), and perform economic evaluations for operations, engineering, and management personnel.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a minimum of 5 years working within an active E&P environment as a Reservoir-focused engineering technician or Reservoir analyst.  JUNIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEERS WITH STRONG DATA SKILLS WILL BE CONSIDERED!

The candidate will have advanced ARIES skills, in addition to strong MS Excel abilities. Experience with SpotFire and Access / SQL is desired as well.

The right candidate will have a real mind for numbers, data analysis and database manipulation. Experience working in a high-energy E&P environment is required, as is a confident approach to problem-solving.
