Corporate Reserves Manager – Tulsa, OK

CSI Recruiting is working with a Oklahoma City-based upstream oil & gas company in their immediate need for an experienced Corporate Reserves Manager to spearhead the company’s reserves reporting and SEC compliance.

This Corporate Reserves Manager will report directly to the company’s C-Level Management and will be THE key member of a team that coordinates the year-end reserves process and quarterly updates, ensures reserves compliance with all regulations.

The position will interface with company’s board of directors, asset teams and third-party reserve auditors, will monitor and analyze reserve changes, track economic inputs, and prepare reconciliations and reports for senior management, managers of accounting, financial auditors, the SEC.

Ideal candidates will have a proven history of applying technical reservoir engineering skills, assessing proven and unproven reserves, applying pertinent SEC/SPEE reserves guidelines, coordinating cross functional projects, and collaborating with a wide variety of disciplines and consultants.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate fiscal year-end reserves process and quarterly updates from the company’s asset teams
  • Ensure reserves compliance with all regulations, and stay informed of changes and developments
  • Review internal (Proved, Probable, and Possible) reserve evaluations and coordinate data transfer and comparisons with 3rd party reserve auditors  for annual audit
  • Monitor and analyze reserve changes, based on production performance and drilling and workover activities, including revisions, additions, and develops, as well as acquisitions and divestitures

Reservoir Engineers without proven experience in Corporate Reserves will not be considered for this role.  Public company experience is not required.


  • Bachelor’s degree required in Petroleum Engineering or other Engineering discipline with appropriate professional experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, primarily focused in reservoir engineering with at least 6 years of recent focus in corporate reserves for domestic oil & gas companies
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required
  • Aries economics and reserves software proficiency required
