Texas Regulatory Specialist – Dallas, TX

CSI Recruiting is working with a growing E&P firm focused on development and production of oil assets in Texas, locating them an experienced Regulatory Specialist / Regulatory Analyst for their headquarters office in central Dallas.  The Regulatory Specialist will be expected to complete and file all required forms necessary for the regulation of drilling, producing & completing wells in the State of Texas.  The Regulatory Specialist also coordinates completion of various environmental and regulatory plans.
Detailed Functions
  • Prepares and submits required forms and permits for drilling, producing and completing wells in  Texas
  • Interfaces with Governmental agencies, specifically the Railroad Commission of Texas
  • Provides research on regulatory issues.
  • Analyzes and communicates new and changed governmental regulations to interested parties.
  • Tracks environmental data covering drilling, well work and production activities.
  • Maintain internal tracking systems to identify upcoming regulatory requirements for continuing compliance with regulations
  • Monitor upcoming operations and required filing dates as well as prepare associated reports as requested
  • Maintain associated well records electronically and paper files
  • Establish and help foster positive relationships with city, state, county, and federal governmental regulatory personnel as required
  • Coordinates preparation of Spill Response plans, Spill reporting procedures and Emergency Evacuation plans.
Job Requirements
  • 4+ years of oil & gas regulatory analyst experience for operators working in Texas
  • Familiarity with Railroad Commission of Texas procedures and government requirements for the submittal of regulatory permits.
  • Previous experience with Railroad Commission of Texas regulations, procedures, reporting and compliance
  • Knowledge of oilfield equipment and terminology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
